AMY WELKER, CHILD CARE DIRECTOR

Amy is a 2009 graduate of Pennsylvania State University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a business concentration. When attending PSU, Amy held a 3 year work-study position on campus at the Bennett Family Center caring for infants and toddlers. Before coming to Carol Leone’s, Amy worked in childcare for nearly 7 years. She started as a Group Supervisor in January of 2019 and became the Assistant Director in March of 2021. She was then promoted to Director in October 2021. A mother herself, Amy understands the mixed emotions many parents face when deciding to place their little ones in child care. Because of this, she strives to ensure that the center operates well not just as a business, but as a home away from home.

PAT, FAMILY COORDINATOR

Pat is Carol Leone Child Care’s Family Coordinator and will be the concierge to provide you with all of the information that you need about our Child Care Facility. She also gives guided tours of all of our activities at the center. During the tour, Pat explains the stages of advancement and the daily schedule that your child will be experiencing. You will be introduced to the Caregivers and the Administration. Additionally, you’ll witness first hand the children participating in their classroom activities. She will be your main contact for any questions that you may have in making your enrollment decision.

If you choose to enroll, our Coordinator will be with you every step of the way. On your first day she will be there to get you and your child started. Pat will escort you to your room and stay with your child until they feel comfortable with their surroundings. Pat is originally from Philadelphia but has called the Pittsburgh area home for over 30 years.
