Meet the Coaches


MARYBETH, GYMNASTICS DIRECTOR

Marybeth grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in business. Marybeth moved to Pennsylvania in 2010 with her husband and two young children. She was a competitive gymnast for nine years and continues to pursue her love for the sport by coaching. Marybeth has been at Lions gymnastics since 2010. During that time, she has coached state champions on floor, beam, and vault. She loves teaching the fundamentals to her young gymnast and preparing them for their competitive career! Marybeth is a professional USAG coach. She has attended clinics, pre-school seminars, and safety certification programs to continually improve her knowledge and level of expertise.

KELLY

Kelly Foster is a retired Level 9/10 gymnast. She began her gymnastics career at Carol Leones at the age of 7. She qualified and competed in many state and regional meets. When she graduated from high school, Kelly walked on as a gymnast at Kent State. Kelly has coached at Moon Area Middle and High School as the Assistant Coach. She took a break from gymnastics when she began her career as a teacher and started a family. She recently joined our team as one of the Compulsory Coaches. Her goal is to help gymnasts reach their personal goals in gymnastics through training, both mentally and physically. Kelly has a genuine love for the sport and is excited to be back coaching!

JENNIE

Jennie is an Optional Coach with Lions Gymnastics. She grew up in Imperial and still resides there with her husband and four children. She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, and has been with the Lions Gymnastics Teams since 2010. Jennie has coached state champions on vault, bars, floor, and the all-around during this time. Jennie is a professional USAG coach and continues to attend clinics to increase her teaching abilities and maintain her safety certifications. She is continuously looking for ways to improve her knowledge and share her love for the sport with her gymnasts.

AMANDA

Amanda started gymnastics when she was 3 years old and competed as both a USAG and WPIAL gymnast throughout high school. She has coached with Lions for three years with our gymnasts in Level 3-5, Xcel, and Recreational Classes. After recently taking a year off to devote to her career, we are excited that she is returning to our gym! We look forward to her sharing her knowledge and love for the sport with our gymnasts.
